Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
Not for quotes. The comparison tool only asks for gender, date of birth, your general health level, tobacco use, the death benefit amount you want, and how many years of coverage you need. Those six pieces of information are sufficient to retrieve rates from each carrier's pricing model. Your name, address, and detailed health history are collected only if you decide to move forward with a formal application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The prices displayed are what each carrier quotes for the underwriting class you indicated. Your actual premium will be determined by the carrier after they complete their underwriting review, which may result in a better, confirmed, or different rate class. The quotes on this site are estimates for comparison only and are not a guarantee of final pricing.
What happens when I click Apply?
You supply your name, and the application is prepared using the exact quote and plan you selected. The application then continues on the carriers' encrypted application platform, where you can fill it out step by step, save progress and return later, and sign your application electronically. The entire process is managed by Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency under License 0B75129.
Will I need a medical exam?
It varies based on the carrier, the death benefit amount, and your specific circumstances. Many carriers now offer accelerated paths to approval that skip the paramedical exam for qualified applicants. Each quote displayed on this site indicates whether an exam is required for that particular product, possibly required depending on your answers, or not required.
Is a longer term better?
A term length should match the duration of the financial obligation or need it covers. Your mortgage, supporting minor children, education costs, and key business loans all have defined end points. Longer terms cost more per month but lock in your rate for a longer period. The quote tool lets you see side-by-side pricing for 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year terms so you can choose what fits your situation.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool does not collect your name or contact information, we do not sell or rent visitor data to other parties, and our usage measurement does not rely on cookies or other tracking technology. For complete details about what information is collected and by whom, review the privacy notice on this site.
